Black Warrior
The Black Warrior River is formed by the headwater streams of the Sipsey, Mulberry Fork, and Locust Fork and flows from north central Alabama through the coastal plain before merging with the Tombigbee and eventually draining into Mobile Bay. The river flows through vast hardwood bottoms and wetlands. The Black Warrior River watershed is home to 127 freshwater fish species (4 of which are federally listed as endangered), 36 species of mussels (5 of which are federally listed as endangered), 33 crayfish species, 15 turtle species (1 of which is federally listed as threatened), an endangered snail, an endangered salamander, and numerous other aquatic animals.*
Our Black Warrior candle is refreshing blend of Bay Laurel and Tobacco with crisp citrus top notes followed by exotic florals on a delicate background of sandalwood, cedar and warm musk

To celebrate and bring awareness to the amazing aquatic biodiversity of our home state of Alabama, we are proud to introduce our Alabama Rivers Collection.
The wilderness of Alabama is truly unique. In terms of overall plant and animal biodiversity Alabama ranks high. The state is fourth nationally (and first among states east of the Mississippi) in the number of total species with 6,350. But the aquatic biodiversity is where the state really shines. With more than 132,000 miles of rivers and streams, Alabama is ranked first for diversity of freshwater fishes, mussels, snails, crayfish and turtles. Many of these are endemic to Alabama, and some live only in a specific creek or watershed.
With this candle collection, we’re hoping you can be inspired to get out, explore, and enjoy the waterways and surrounding wilderness areas of our great state.
